  • Tune Description

     Hot Trail Tune:

        This tune was designed for those times you want to just flat out haul ass through the woods, it is a great all-around tune because while it gets sporty when in the throttle hard it also can be tame when you are in those slower paced trails. It does well in any situation you throw at it. By far the most versatile tune that FCP produces and is great in about any build or situation. It is by far our number one seller.

     

     

     

     

     

     

  • Engine Calibration

        The engine calibrations are designed to give you the most this engine can offer you without sacrificing reliability. In many ways FCP tuning is designed to not only to maximize overall performance but to optimize your driver’s experience. Optimal power fuel calibrations were made when hard on the throttle but more efficient fueling for cruising, timing optimization was made for throttle response, and radiator fan on/off temperatures were lowered to help keep overall heat down. All this helps the longevity of the engine by reducing the stress on internals.

  • Clutch Calibration

        The clutches were calibrated to have a firm take-off without it becoming too jumpy but also limit the amount of slip time at take-off, the clutch shift pressure was recalibrated so that when you are driving around easy, they are crisp without being harsh, but the harder you are on the throttle the firmer they become to give you that true RC car experience that a DCT is known for. The steady pressure on the clutches was increased so when they are fully engaged and have greater holding power, this helps prevent clutch slippage in high load situations. All these calibrations to clutch pressure contribute to help keep the clutches cooler and aid in keeping them healthy.

  • Transmission Calibrations

       Transmission calibrations were made so that at light throttle it shifts in auto at a lower rpm but the harder you are in the throttle the longer it holds the gears. This gives you a much more adaptable shift point to react to the way you are currently driving, which gives you a much better experience behind the wheel. So, if you like cruising slowly through the trails and occasionally just stabbing it to find out what these are truly made for then this is the tune for you!

     

        All FCP tuning comes with reverse shifting in auto mode. This makes it nice having to back out a long trail, in those situations backing up a slick hill or getting out in a mud hole it will shift gears and getting some much-needed wheel spin (Especially in those builds with a lot of gear reduction). Manual mode will give you much more control than factory, it will allow you to upshift earlier and hold the gear you selected. The only time it will down shift is when you come under 15 mph in 6th gear and then it will continue to downshift as you slowdown from there till it reaches first gear. This feature is nice when cruising as it won't downshift when you let off the throttle eliminating engine braking. So, you get full control of your shifts up and down.
